What a week this has been. I have been through the deepest, darkest valley's of my life. I have felt every emotion, every fear and every joy imaginable. The one thing that I have felt through this whole ordeal of Terry's accident was that I was being carried through it by our Savior and being comforted by the Holy Ghost. It has held me together to such an extent that seems impossible to grasp, looking back.
My testimony of Jesus Christ has always been strong. Now it does not waiver in the least. He Lives!
Bad things happen to good people sometimes. But this whole thing was cushioned by so many dear ones who were there for us all along the way from the moment I knew he'd been in an accident. So many dear ones around the world have comforted me and prayed for us and for Terry's recovery. Thank you! Thank you! I am filled with gratitude for you all.
Hope, light and life--they all go hand in hand. We must all smile in the face of adversity and realize that we can glean so much strength by learning to overcome these things cheerfully and even with humor at times.
My husband told our missionary son in Los Angeles CA that, "Well, someone said once that the Lord gives us certain things to do in this life before we can leave. I'm so far behind that I'll never die!" end quote. This is the kinds of things that are spoon fed to me each day by my sweet husband. He is always positive and happy. It has been a joy to be married to him for nearly 24 years.
Now he is home resting. He is heavily drugged for pain. He is improving and is eating better since coming home yesterday. He was in the hospital for a total of six days. It's amazing how resilient the human body can be. After hitting a dodge Durango at 50 mph and flying over it only to land on his head---and survive is a miracle. Now the healing begins in earnest and we will be right here helping him the rest of the way.
Next week he has surgery on his hand. Please continue to pray for him and for me to stay healthy while I am challenged by the insurance company trying to change history. The woman who hit Terry is trying to change her story. But I have the police report and witnesses on my side. Please pray for me to have the strength to deal with them with a clear mind.
Thank you,
Valora

I'm so glad to hear he's home and doing well. He sounds like such a sweet, happy man, so very concerned for others. It is so obvious from what you write that you love him.
I will continue to pray for you both, and for the woman's heart to be changed.
Thank you for your testimony.
It is so amazing to me how you guys keep strong but we have to and with everyone praying for you HF is bound to hear. People are so fun in changing their stories to help themselves but it just doesn't get them anywhere so face the fact you were in the wrong(the ladythat hit Terry)
