It's Visiting Teaching Day!

I had a great day! My Visiting Teaching Companion and I were able to visit all four of our sisters today. They are all doing well. Some struggle more than others, mostly with the the cost of living and trying to keep food on the table during these tough economic times.

Our family is no stranger to hard times. My husband has been working a second job for several months now. I miss him a lot. We are very close. But I love him for putting his family first to make ends meet. He's amazing!

I was so grateful for the fellowship I felt today. Just being with the saints lifts my heart and makes me feel blessed to know them.

Today part of the lesson really touched my heart. I have to share it with all of you. It was about how "the truest mothers hearts beat in the breasts of women who will not rear their own children in this life-" (Julie B. Beck) I find that so true in my extended family. My children's step grandma is a phenomenal woman who loves my children. She has always been like a second mom to my children and they can count on her and they love her dearly. We are blessed to have her in our family. I love having three moms!
